Koh Mai Thon & Koh Dok Mai

Heading out East from Phuket, our preferred destination.

With a good balance between sail time and time on location, this route covers all wishes.

Koh Mai Thon is probably the best snorkeling location close to Phuket, with its improving coral cover and coral health, it is home to a healthy fish population of small to medium sized reef fish. Both the west and east side of this island have places to stop and swim, with good protection from the weather.

It is also home to a pod of Dolphins, about 12-15 in total and can sometimes be seen playing if the weather and time of day is right.

Additionally with this route, and depending on the weather and the groups wishes, we can also include a second location with Koh Dok Mai.

30-40mins away, this is a giant rock sticking out of the water almost in the middle of nowhere. A great 30 minute stop to enjoy some more snorkeling before the hour and a half return sail to Phuket.
Here you will get to see some larger reef fish, some pelagic fish sometimes including skip jacks / black tip reef sharks and octopus.

This route is perfect for those who want it all, a little sailing, some good snorkeling, and plenty of time to explore without being too rushed.
