S/Y Mahayana Re-fit & Re-launch

Our deadline to relaunch S/Y Mahayana is November 5th.

All essential jobs onboard S/Y Mahayana need to be completed by this date. High Season is now upon us. The tides are high enough to get S/Y Mahayana back in the water where she belongs. And, well….WE DID IT! We’re back in the water!

It’s been a frantic 2 months.
At times, we have questioned whether we have taken on too much. Will there be enough time to get everything done?
However, the moment the new paintwork was revealed – we were stoked! Certainly, the moment S/Y Mahayana splashed back into the water, it became evident that all our hard work had been well worth it.

We are very proud of the work and accomplishments this season. Going into the new high season, we have a greater confidence that our guests will continue to get the best boats available – S/Y Mahayana being one of them.

Why It’s Important to us

For many of our guests, these trips are once in a lifetime. To fully enjoy these trips, many of you have to work tirelessly to; not only afford it in monetary terms but also in time away from work.
Therefore, it’s only right that we meet the expectations you have of us and for your sailing holiday.

We’ve always believed we offer a unique and total experience onboard S/Y Mahayana. After all, it’s the goal with each and every sailing expedition we provide. With each trip, we continually look for new and better ways to improve your experience. Over the dinner table, we encourage constructive criticism from our guests. As long as there’s a cold beer or glass of wine in hand! Its important to us to know how and if we can improve our trips.

For us, low season is the time to gather ourselves. It’s a time to implement new ideas. A time to explore new routes. A time to take the boats out of the water and conduct the necessary maintenance and refurbishments.
When all this comes together, we can enter a new season with confidence. This confidence is from knowing we’re doing all we can to improve your experience while onboard. Likewise, it shows we are improving as a business.

Going Forward

In conclusion, we go forth with a rejuvenated spirit and an energized passion for what we do. As we continue to show our customers how beautiful the Andaman Sea can be, for ourselves, we have a feeling of peace. Moreover, being on the water, sleeping under the stars brings such peace, calm and tranquility. In addition, we of course want S/Y Mahayana to look fabulous in all those photos you’ll be taking!

It’s not uncommon to be told that we have the best job in the world by our guests.
In other words, with a season of achievements behind us. A season of new explorations and new friends to be made. We wholeheartedly agree. And we want to share it!

So we invite you to keep up to date via our website. Alternatively, you can follow us on our many Social Media platforms. For instance, try our facebook page,  our Instagram page or YouTube channel. We’ll let you decide if this is where you would rather be! 😉

From all the crew onboard S/Y Mahayana, we look forward to seeing all our new and returning customers in the forthcoming season.
Bon Voyage!
